As part of the Artists Trail in Bollington, loop readers are invited to a special view of Jane Osmond's work on Friday, 8 May between7.00 - 9.30pm.There will be wine, real Ale and nibbles, and a chance to look at some of her original prints. She will be demonstrating how she produces her beautiful etchings at the weekends of both 9 - 10 May and 16 - 17 May from 11.00am - 5.00pm.If you are unable to get to the preview,make sure you visit on one of the other dates to see

Bollington Artists Trail:
Watercolourist Dean Entwistle has illustrated a map of Bollington to guide visitors around this trail. The map will be available at the exhibition at the Arts Cenrtre, alongside a souvenir poster version that is being sold to raise funds for the festival.
The Open Studios Exhibition is open every Sunday from 2-4pm until Friday 15 May at Bollington Arts Centre. The exhibition will also be available to view during other events at the Arts Centre.
All work on show will be available to buy, with a percentage being donated to the Arts Centre. The Artists’ Trail takes place over the first two weekends of the Bollington Festival – 9/10 & 16/17 May.

ARTISTS’ TRAIL ‘OPEN STUDIOS’ EXHIBITION

A group of talented local artists will be exhibiting new work at the Bollington Arts Centre this month to promote the Artists’ Trail that is taking place during the Bollington Festival in May.

Painters, printmakers, textile artists and photographers will be showcasing their work to raise awareness of the open studios event, which is expected to attract hundreds of visitors during the Festival.

Artist and coordinator, Emma King, explains the idea behind the exhibition: “We wanted to give people a taste of what’s to come. Each artist will be exhibiting at least one new piece of work, giving visitors the chance to see a wide range of skills and styles as well as deciding who’s studio they might like to visit in May.”

Watercolourist Dean Entwistle is illustrating a map for the Artists’ Trail, which will be previewed at the exhibition. “My background is in illustration, so this project has been really enjoyable,” he says. “Having lived in Bollington for many years, I was happy to volunteer to draw it. It’s been fascinating examining the architecture and landscape of the village for the design - it really lends itself to the map.”

The Open Studios Exhibition opens on Sunday 15^th February at 2pm and continues every Sunday from 2-4pm until Sunday 15^th March. The exhibition will also be available to view during other events at the Arts Centre.
