And another thing....

The NCO are at the Heritage centre tonight, with Peter van Hulle, tenor and the King’s School Foundation Choir playing Bizet/Shchedrin Carmen and Britten St Nicolas Two contrasting works: Carmen as a ballet, arranged for strings, timpani, and four separate groups of percussion instruments is hugely exciting – and familiar. Britten’s Cantata, St Nicolas, presents legendary incidents in the life of Nicolas, of children, seamen, and travellers.

The loop is delighted to see the new gallery on Church Street (the lovely cobbled hill) finally opening its doors. G Fine Art is a very welcome addition to the growing artistic community in Macclesfield. The loop wishes them the very best of luck. We will tell you more about them in the January edition of the loop. Make sure you receive it by e mailing us at maccloop@googlemail.com ).
