Need a garden? Get growing...

A great initiative by food4macc to help people without gardens or allotments to make use of other peoples gardens that they can't manage themselves. I've seen at first hand how brilliantly this can work; and everyone benefits.

Gardens Offered @ 13 March 2010:

Higher HurdsfieldA sloping area approximately 3m x 7m, which has been used for shrubs. The owners started to clear the area in order to grow veg, but found they did not have the time nor expertise.

They are looking for someone to garden on weekdays, preferably with experience.

Bollington (off Ovenhouse Lane near the Leisure Centre) The garden is approx 6m x 11m, described as “a mess” by the owner. Gardening times by negotiation.

Brookfield Lane (near Co-op on Buxton Road)Two areas approx 3.5m x 3.5m and 6m x 4m PLUS a big greenhouse. Cultivated by the owner for veg for the first time last year with limited success, but great potential. Access currently only when owner is at work on Mondays and Wednesdays

Macclesfield Road, Alderley Edge The garden is 1.3 acres, the plot has been used for veg in the past but is now rough grass.

HandforthA BIG garden and a greenhouse Please call or Email for more details or to arrange a viewing: Ruth Shercliff 01260 253987
