Something for the weekend ?

A big thank you to everyone who dragged themselves away from the political jousting on the box for an evening of edifying entertainment and good cheer by candlelight in The Bate Hall last night. Particularly thanks to Taffy Davies for his fabulous films, Jane for her haunting story and Bud for his impromtu and wonderful poem.

Meanwhile if you want to get out to play this weekend, you can catch Dazed and Confused at the Hollins tonight ( Fri).

There is the fantastic Farmers Market at Cloverbank tomorrow on which we hope proves to be a beautifully sunny Saturday morning – usual time of 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.They will have a new stall holder this month – Denise Porter from Somerford who is producing a selection of soups, Greek dips, pickled onions and other tasty items.Mmmm...

The Swan with two necks on Chestergate will resound to the delights of Dave's Reggae disco this Saturday. Maybe you caught him at the loop party at Storm Brewery? if not nows your chance.

Get an Art fix on Sunday at the newly opened Victoria Mill in Congleton
