Something for the weekend?
It's a weekend for fine live sounds and dancing, starting with Melanie Williams and Jo Roberts (Loop favourites) at The Hollins on Friday from 9pm.
The Nags Head on Waters Green serves up its usual fine Fri and Sat line-up with Ace D C and Decaddenze, in that order. http://www.nagsmacc.co.uk/

Theatrically on Saturday, the Oxfordshire Theatre Co present: Loving April based on the novel by Melvin Burgess. Gawsworth Village Hall, 7.30pm ages 14+ only. Booking advisable on: 01244 972835.

For our younger readers on Sunday morning Maisy makes a personal appearance at Waterstone's, Macclesfield from 10am, with storytime (about to become a regular & welcome Sunday feature) activities and prizes to be won. 01625 424212.

Then there's the Blues Jam at The Jolly Sailor from 7pm - surely the most amazing pub transformation and worth checking out!
And lest you think we've forgotten... running across the whole glorious weekend is the Macclesfield Charity Beer Festival. Music from Dazed & Confused and Monkey Harris all washed down with fine ales. Fri - 7 to midnight. Saturday - noon to 3.30pm (kids welcome) and 7 to midnight. £10.
