It's a weekend for fine live sounds and dancing, starting with Melanie Williams and Jo Roberts (Loop favourites) at The Hollins on Friday from 9pm.
The Nags Head on Waters Green serves up its usual fine Fri and Sat line-up with Ace D C and Decaddenze, in that order. http://www.nagsmacc.co.uk/
The X-Bvrs (2 members are ex Screaming Beavers), play soul/disco at The Millstone on Saturday - expect rock covers from Fleetwood Mac to Muse. (x-bvrs pic courtesy of Louise Murphy)

Also, but only if you were one of 'the chosen' you'll be living the muso life at The Un-convention Factory... on Saturday (see previous posting for details). We won't rub your nose in it if you didn't get a golden ticket... http://www.unconventionhub.org/
For our younger readers on Sunday morning Maisy makes a personal appearance at Waterstone's, Macclesfield from 10am, with storytime (about to become a regular & welcome Sunday feature) activities and prizes to be won. 01625 424212.
Later on Sunday see Wall of Wishes, a brand new musical with a Bollington feel showing at 2.30 and 5pm. £6/£3. Bollington Arts Centre, Wellington Road. 07774 514517.
Then there's the Blues Jam at The Jolly Sailor from 7pm - surely the most amazing pub transformation and worth checking out!

And lest you think we've forgotten... running across the whole glorious weekend is the Macclesfield Charity Beer Festival. Music from Dazed & Confused and Monkey Harris all washed down with fine ales. Fri - 7 to midnight. Saturday - noon to 3.30pm (kids welcome) and 7 to midnight. £10.
