Something for the Weekend

This weekend the focus must rest upon the music and there is plenty of it...
The Bridgewater Blues Band are up first, playing at Ronnie's Bar on Friday night (17 Sept) http://www.ronnies-bar.co.uk/

Saturday is the big day though, with the return of South Park Band Stand - a free concert in the park with a fine line-up. Including Bleeding Hands (Andy Hughes, to his mum) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v+OgiY1SdeFoc who kicks it all off at 12 noon, Tim 'Loved by the Loop' Woodhouse, Old Yellow and Naymedici.

As if one big gig wasn't enough... the 18th also offers the Music, Cider & Beer Festival at the Church House in Sutton. From 2-11pm. With guest beer and ciders, a BBQ, and bands including Rough Twist, The Tensions, Glass Onion and Helen Walford. Tickets are £7 on the door (children under 10 free) and under 18s are welcome. For more info: 07977 488964.

And, if you happen to be in Bollington come Sat night catch Cool Jazz with the Dan Whieldon Trio (as pictured). A group that takes its influences from those led by Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett. £8. http://www.bollingtonartscentre.org.uk/
