Vagina Monologues

The auditions for the 2011 benefit production of The Vagina Monologues are starting again. They're open auditions, so any interested women should just go along. No acting experience is required - they're not looking for actresses or amateur dramatic types as much as for women who want to do something different for charity; who have suffered or are close to someone who has suffered from domestic abuse; who came to a performance this year and wanted to be a part of V-Day or simply want to challenge themselves with a unique experience.

The auditions are pretty informal and interested parties don't need to bring anything other than themselves (and possibly a friend for moral support or to stop them chickening out!). More info is on their website
www.vdaymacclesfield.co.uk.

If you're considering it but fancy finding out a bit more from some of the women who actually took part this year, join their Facebook group (search 'V-Day Macclesfield' or use the link on their site) and they'll be happy to share their experiences.

Auditions: Town House Pub on King Edward Street in Macclesfield
Wednesday 27 October at 7pm
Sunday 31 Oct at 3pm
Monday 1 November at 7pm
