The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting The third Bruntwood Prize has been launched. The panel of judges include: Writer Jackie Kay, Actress Sue Johnston, Royal Exchange Artistic Director Sarah Frankcom, Chairman of Bruntwood Michael Oglesby, Actress Maxine Peake and Playwright Simon Stephens will read through hundreds of scripts this Summer to select the winner of the first prize plus three subsequent runner ups.

As well as the total prize money of £40,000, the four winners will have the opportunity to develop their play with the Royal Exchange Theatre, with a view to production. For details of how to enter, writing tips, resources www.writeaplay.co.uk
