Angels and Demons

The advanced screening of Angels and Demons (12A) takes place at Cinemac tonight, Thursday 1 May, and then runs until Thursday 28 May, with shows nightly at both 5 and 8pm.

The film, based on the novel by Dan Brown, is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code (2006) and sees Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) return to uncover a plot by a secret society to kill four Roman Catholic cardinals and destroy the Vatican City.

While we’re talking Dan Brown, his latest novel The Lost Symbol, not due for publication until 15 September, is already available for pre-order at Waterstones, in store or at Waterstones.com at a special discounted price. No synopsis is available; this is a book to be shrouded in mystery. What a tease!

Also, if you have not yet discovered Cinemac, a most-unconventional and charming cinema, it is featured in the latest issue of the loop (editorial column page 5). Or check out its website: http://www.cinemac.org.uk/ for further information, prices and feature listings.
Cinemac is situated in the Heritage Centre, Roe St, Macclesfield.
