It's farmer's market weekend again at North Rode and what fun there is to be had, even beyond shopping for the finest local fare. It's the best time of year on the farm, the trees are resplendent, the lambs are gamboling, there's a litter of eight piglets just two weeks old and a pair of canada geese wandering around proudly (and fairly aggressively) with 11 goslings.
The market runs from 8.30am - 12.30pm as usual and welcomes the sweet-smelling Bakewell Soap Company, with their gorgeous handmade soaps to join the regular run of fabulous local traders.
