Its ages since Ive seen a kids film I really enjoyed as much as this. I was extrememy irritated ( and queasy) by the second half of that 'meatballs' one. The pace of UP is great, not that frenetic in your face stuff thrown at kids all the time. Its sad, but in a good way( a hanky is essential), with great characterisation and up beat without glossing over stuff.
Refreshingly the child hood hero proves to be an egotistical rotter who comes to a nasty end. Ha! Highly recommended.
