Something for the weekend

Great music, theatre, fine ale and blueberries are all on offer this weekend... On Friday night catch the Colliders, The Tensions and Mars Black at Toast, Dukes Court. It starts at 9pm, is a fund raiser for Windyways and theLoop aims to be there. (pic Mars Black's fabulous, Helen Walford).
A little earlier in the evening and a little further afield you can hear Congleton 1972, an illustrated talk on the town's Charter year celebrations. 7.30pm and £2 to get in at the Congleton Museum http://www.congletonmuseum.co.uk/

On Saturday morning you can prime your fingers for the Teggs Nose Pick... yuck you think... but the pick is of blueberries - so make it yum. 10am to 2pm leaving from the Visitors Centre. 01625 504518. Find refreshment at the 2nd Micro Beer Festival in Alderley Edge, local ale, music and BBQ from noon til late on Stephen St, behind Barclays...

...and later The Gawsworth Open Air Theatre Season presents The Black Dyke Band, brass band conducted by Nicholas Childs and heroic. £23.50/£20.
