Something for the weekend ?

We made it to the preview of the Art of Caring at Macc Town Hall last night. The great and the good were there, being coaxed to dig deep and buy art to support East Cheshire Hospice. Its a pressing cause and also a big reminder of the wealth of creative talent in the area. Make sure you get to this biennial exhibition, there is such a diverse selection of work so most tastes should find something.We're not big on sheep ourselves, but there are plenty there, plus still lives, seacsapes and a range of glorious landscaspes from Dean Entwistle & Colin Halliday but our favourites were Jo Deas' vibrant textured abstracts (see above) and Ralph McGaul's commanding figures....get along and decide for yourself. Its open til 9pm tonight and Tuesday.

We will be excitedly getting along to one of the 3 Big Draw events taking place in East Cheshire on Satuday. It is great that CEC has atalst embraced this national Drawing Campaign and we can't wait to see what it will comprise of.

You can catch the last night ( and a matinee too) of Oklahoma on the 9th at MADS if you like a bit of Rogers and Hammerstein or if not catch The Magic Otters at Ronnie's on the 10th.
